Did you know that it is illegal to operate a marine radio without a license?
The objective of this course is for you to learn how to communicate and handle emergency situations on a VHF marine radio. This short course will cover all aspects of radio operation including the new Digital Selective Calling (DSC) function.
There are no prerequisits for this course and we offer a home-study option for you.
Home Study – Materials are mailed out to you. You study at your own pace. Sail Nelson will invigilate your exam via Zoom. Please contact us to book your exam date.
Once you have successfully completed the VHF Marine Radio exam, you will be awarded your VHF Marine Radio License with DSC Endorsement. There is no expiry date for this license.
