While the Sail Nelson carries appropriate insurance and takes every precaution to ensure your safety and that of your equipment, there are risks inherent in all outdoor activities. Sail Nelson accepts no responsibility for injury, accident, damage or loss to your person or property. Nor shall it be liable for claims or expenses caused by delays due to sickness, accidents, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes outside the control of Sail Nelson either before, during or after the course.
Cancellation & Refund Terms
Sail Nelson requires full course payment prior to your course. It is at Sail Nelson’s discretion to offer deposit terms and those specific terms are to be agreed upon by all involved parties. For the 2021 season, Sail Nelson is offering a 50% deposit option for our most popular course, the Basic Cruising course. Once a 50% deposit is received from a student, a seat will be saved in the student’s preferred course. The balance of the deposit is due no later than 14 days prior to the course start date.
If a student withdraws from a course they may receive a refund depending on the withdrawal date. As such, any withdrawal made 10 days prior to the course start date will receive full refund minus a $20 administration fee. Withdrawals made between 9 to 4 days prior to the course start date will receive a 50% refund. Withdrawals made 3 to day of the course, will receive no refund.
Sail Nelson recognizes that there may be specific circumstances leading to a course withdrawal, so please do get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate you and perhaps find another course date.
Should Sail Nelson need to cancel a course due to illness, weather, pandemic, etc., Sail Nelson will provide all students a full refund. Please note that Sail Nelson reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any point.
