Cancellation & Refund Terms
Sail Nelson requires full course payment prior to your course. It is at Sail Nelson’s discretion to offer deposit terms and those specific terms are to be agreed upon by all involved parties. For the 2022 season, Sail Nelson is offering a 50% deposit option for many of our courses. Once a 50% deposit is received from a student, a seat will be saved in the student’s preferred course. The balance of the deposit is due no later than 14 days prior to the course start date.
If a student withdraws from a course they may receive a refund depending on the withdrawal date. As such, any withdrawal made 10 days prior to the course start date will receive full refund minus a $20 administration fee. Withdrawals made between 9 to 4 days prior to the course start date will receive a 50% refund. Withdrawals made 3 to day of the course, will receive no refund. Please note that if you have received a Basic Cruising Skills Textbook, it can either be returned in new/unused condition, or a $45 textbook fee will also be removed from your refund amount.
Sail Nelson recognizes that there may be specific circumstances leading to a course withdrawal, so please do get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate you and perhaps find another course date.
Should Sail Nelson need to cancel a course due to illness, weather, pandemic, etc., Sail Nelson will provide all students a full refund. Please note that Sail Nelson reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any point.
