Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an update on my eXXpedition Antarctica journey.

Unfortunately, the 2026 voyage has been postponed after the original boat provider was no longer able to support the expedition. The good news is that eXXpedition has secured a new vessel, and the voyage has now been rescheduled for February 2027.

After carefully looking at my work, family, and financial commitments, I’ve made the difficult decision that I won’t be able to participate in the rescheduled expedition.

While I’m naturally disappointed, I truly believe that some opportunities come into our lives for a reason—even if they don’t unfold exactly as we expect. The journey introduced me to an incredible community of women dedicated to science, environmental stewardship, and protecting our oceans. I’m grateful for the connections I’ve made and for everything I learned along the way.

Most of all, I want to thank you. Your encouragement, kind messages, and financial support meant more than I can express. Knowing that so many people believed in this adventure made the experience incredibly special, even though I won’t be setting sail to Antarctica.

This isn’t the end of my ocean advocacy. I’ll continue sharing sailing knowledge through Your Pocket Sailing Instructor, teaching with Sail Canada and other sailing schools, and finding new ways to promote environmental stewardship both on and off the water.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m excited to see what the next adventure brings, and I’m so grateful to have you along for the ride.

Fair winds,

Penny
