Are you looking to charter a boat or get into boat ownership? Then the Intermediate Cruising course is for you!
OBJECTIVE: To be able to cruise safely in familiar waters as both skipper and crew of a sailing yacht of 8 – 12 meters in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. The standard emphasizes on-the-water skills at a level acceptable for extended cruises in coastal and inland waters and for bareboat chartering.
FORMAT: This course is taught over 5 days (Sunday evening to Friday afternoon). There are 4 students maximum on the boat. A full boat (4 students) is required to run this course.
PREREQUISITES: Basic Cruising Standard, VHF Marine Radio License, Boating License, and the Basic Navigation course.

INCLUDES: ashore & afloat instruction, course text books, certification & exam fees, provisioning, moorage fees.
CERTIFICATIONS AWARDED: Sail Canada Intermediate Cruising Standard
