Sail Nelson offers plenty of opportunities for you to hang out with some girlfriends and brush up on some of your sailing skills. These afloat seminars are meant to be laid back and will provide you with some new skills and knowledge.
OBJECTIVE: To get out with other like-minded women and have some fun!
PREREQUISITES: Sailing or boating experience is recommended.

Just get out there and practice your points of sail, tacking, gybing, reefing, and whatever else you would like to work on. This 3-hour seminar is all about what you want to work on!
Spend 2 hours learning the ins and outs of docking with ease! Learn how to spring off, tie off to various cleats and posts depending on your marina, and maneuvering in tight areas.
Spend 2 hours learning to set and weigh anchor like a pro! Learn how to use a kedge, bruce and danforth depending on your bottom type. Setting multiple anchors off the bow or stern will also be practiced.
Come spend 3 hours learning the fine art of tuning your sails for optimal sailing! Learn the importance of your cunningham, leech line, ticklers and much more!
Spend 2 hours learning how to handle a crew overboard situations under sail and power. We will learn traditional methods as well as dealing with emergencies that could arise during such a procedure. NOTE: The Basic Cruising course or equivalent experience is recommended for this course.
