Basic Sailing – Crew

Have you always wanted to become a competent crew and be able to lend a hand on the boat? The Basic Crew Standard is for you!

OBJECTIVE: To be able to crew safely in familiar waters on a keelboat of 6 to 10 meters in moderate wind and sea conditions by day.

FORMAT: This course is taught over 2 weekends or 8 evenings. There are 4 students maximum on the boat (2 are required to run the course) and it will be taught on our 28 foot Aloha.

PREREQUISITES: None

CERTIFICATIONS AWARDED: Sail Canada Basic Crew Standard. Please note that this course is taught in conjunction with the Basic Cruising course so there may be students of various levels in the same course.
